CHM 101 - Introduction to Chemistry I

Explores the experimental and theoretical concepts of general chemistry while emphasizing scientific reasoning, critical and analytical thinking. Designed for the non-science major. This is a Passport Transfer course.

Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week.

Prerequisite(s): Eligible for ENG 111 and MTH 154.
Corequisite: Corequisites: CHM 101 lab. Credit toward graduation will not be awarded for both CHM 101 and CHM 111. CHM 101 and CHM 102 will not satisfy the lab science requirement for the AS in Physical and Natural Science.
