Associate of Science Degree
Code: 213
Transfer Program
Purpose: This degree is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year institution to complete a baccalaureate degree program in business administration.
Program Information: The program includes courses to meet the needs of businesses that desire employees who are educated in business and also have a global perspective. This curriculum, therefore, requires courses in the humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences in addition to business courses in economics and accounting. The program is comparable in length and course content to the first two years of baccalaureate business administration curricula so that students who earn the AS degree will be prepared for transfer to four-year colleges or universities. Students should become familiar with the requirements of the major department at the contemplated transfer institutions. When students have a choice of courses, they should base their choice on the requirements of the transfer institutions. The responsibility for proper course selection rests with the student. Students who complete the program and fulfill all other graduation requirements will be awarded the associate of science degree in business administration.
Transfer Information: PVCC has guaranteed transfer agreements with top colleges and universities that guarantee admission to PVCC graduates who meet specific academic transfer criteria.
Students in all degree programs are required to take at least one Civic Engagement (CE) course to graduate.

Total minimum credits: 60
Check with the transfer advisor for the appropriate math courses and sequencing for your transfer institution.
List of courses that fulfill Humanities, Social Science, Science w/Lab and Transfer Electives can be found on the Transfer Course Electives page. To meet the humanities elective requirement for this program, no more than one introductory foreign language course (101 or 102 level) may be used. Although a course fulfills a requirement for a PVCC program, it is possible the course will not fulfill a requirement at a four-year institution. Students who plan to transfer need to be aware of the four-year institution’s requirements.
