PNE 173 - Pharmacology for Practical Nurses

Studies history, classification, sources, effects, uses and legalities of drugs. Teaches problem solving skills used in medication administrations. Emphasizes major drug classes and specific agents within each class. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $50.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $25.00 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.

Lecture 2 hours per week.

Prerequisite(s): Admission to Practical Nursing program.
