PNE 116 - Nutrition and Diet Therapy

Introduces the basic principles of good nutrition. Studies nutrients, their sources and functions, basic requirements for individuals. Includes a brief introduction to diet therapy. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $50.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $25.00 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.

Lecture 1 hour per week.

Prerequisite(s): Admission to Practical Nursing program or instructor permission.
