ETR 241 - Electronic Communications I

Studies noise, information and bandwidth, modulation and demodulation, transmitters and receivers, wave propagation, antennas and transmission lines. Includes broad-band communication systems, microwave, both terrestrial and satellite, fiber optics, multiplexing and associated hardware. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $25.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $12.50 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.

Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hours per week.

Prerequisite(s): ETR 203  or instructor permission.
