Introduces principles of nursing including concepts of health, wellness, illness and the nursing process. Develops nursing skills to meet the multidimensional needs of individuals across the life span. Includes computer skills related to the delivery of nursing care. Provides supervised learning experiences in college nursing laboratories and/or cooperating agencies.
Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Clinical 6 hours. Total 12 hours per week.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to Practical Nursing program.
