PHY 242 - University Physics II

Teaches principles of classical physics. Includes mechanics, wave phenomena, heat, electricity, and magnetism.

Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week.

Prerequisite(s): MTH 173 or AP Calculus score (AB or BC) of 3 or greater is a prerequisite for PHY 241. MTH 174 and PHY 241 are prerequisites for PHY 242.
Corequisite: PHY 241 laboratory for PHY 241 and PHY 242 laboratory for PHY 242.
