TJACE@PVCC offers core skills instruction to area adults to help them take their next career steps to employment, training, or further academic study. Offering over 35 classes, TJACE teachers help adults improve their English skills, earn their high school diploma or GED ® and develop skills needed for employment and workplace success. TJACE@PVCC offers five levels of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESL) classes and high school completion classes in reading/writing, science, social studies, and math to help students earn a GED or a high school diploma through the National External Diploma Program (NEDP). Career Focused Training includes computer skills, basic employability skills, customer service, CNA for English Language Learners (ELLs), and Skilled Trades programs.
TJACE@PVCC’s goal is to provide quality services and convenient access to these adult education programs. TJACE@PVCC serves more than 600 adults in Central Virginia, which includes the counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson and the City of Charlottesville.
